Welcome to our website and thank you for your interest in Cuyahoga Falls High School, home of the Black Tigers. The staff at Cuyahoga Falls is dedicated to the complete development of each student that walks through our doors. We embrace the district vision which states that "we are the hub of the community; comitted to a culture of caring! We innovate! We create! We personalize education for all! At Cuyahoga Falls High School, we tirelessly work to provide an education that is grounded in 21st Century skills and common core standards with a student-centered approach to ensure that all of our students graduate career and college ready. We believe in the continual pursuit of preparing ourselves professionally to meet the ever-evolving needs of students and the demands of education. In order to reach each student, we are always searching for ways to offer more opportunities for our students. This quest has resulted in the addition of several new options including an increase in A.P. courses and dual enrollment options over the last several years. We also believe that student success is directly related to student involvement in activities and programs. Therefore, we offer an extensive list of extra and co-curricular activities for students to develop socially as part of a team, club, or group and active member of the Black Tiger family.
The Cuyahoga Falls community is integral in our success and we actively seek partnerships with businesses and members to enrich the real-world experiences for our students. We are thankful for the current relationship we have with our Parent Teacher Association, Athletic Boosters, Music Boosters, CF Alumni Foundations, and all the organizations that work tirelessly to assist us in our constant efforts in providing a quality, well-rounded educational experience for our students.
We believe that communication is critical in our relationship with our students, parents/guardians, and community members. With this in mind, we encourage the active utilization and monitoring of student progress through the use of Progress Book. We also value the importance of keeping everyone informed through a variety of means including our website, twitter, periodic newsletters, phone calls, emails, and many other forms of social media. We are committed to two –way communication and encourage you to contact the school directly if you ever have any questions, concerns, or are looking for a way to become more actively involved.
At Cuyahoga Falls High School, we believe in data-driven decisions and utilize the variety of information we have gathered to direct structural and instructional enhancements. It is the intent of our building leadership team to analyze our data in order to provide a focus for the upcoming 17-18 school year. These goals and data are posted on our website quarterly so that everyone can see our progress throughout the year. Please click on the attached documents that outline our goals and our progress.
