The Department of Business and Operations oversees all aspects of building and grounds maintenance and use, food services, transportation, warehousing and purchasing. 

Mr. Joseph Bagatti, Director of Business and Operations,  currently oversees this Department.

The Department of Business and Operations supports the instructional efforts of the teaching staff and the administration in every way possible. We provide efficient and effective school bus transportation services to our eligible students. We work diligently to provide a safe and secure environment conducive to teaching and learning. We serve healthy, tasty meals to our students so they can concentrate on their studies and excel. It is our goal to do these things in a cost effective manner, to use taxpayer dollars wisely and to respond to the needs of our students, staff and citizens. 

 

General Information:

The district owns and operates 9 school buildings.  Six are K-5 elementary schools, two are grades 6 – 8 middle schools and we have one high school.  These 9 buildings contain roughly 1 million square feet of classroom, office and gymnasium spaces.  We have two buildings that are leased to other educational or social service organizations. These two buildings contain an additional 115,663 square feet of space.  In all, the district consists of more than 128 acres of land.  The District currently has 196 classified staff positions. Our classified staff personal work anywhere from 1 to 8 hours per day and most work the school year calendar – that is, around 185 days per year.
