Attention Parents of 7th Grade Students:
State Law requires that all students entering 7th grade receive a TDap vaccination.
According to the Ohio Department of Health:
"Pertussis, better known as whooping cough, is highly contagious and is one of the most commonly occurring vaccine-preventable diseases in the United States. People with pertussis usually spread the disease by coughing or sneezing while in close contact with others, who then breathe in the pertussis bacteria. Many infants who get pertussis are infected by older siblings, parents or other caregivers who might not even know they have the disease."
This vaccination is important for the health and wellbeing of our students and their families. If you have not yet submitted proof of this vaccination to our school Clinic, please do so at your earliest convenience. After October 1st, students who are not compliant with the state's vaccination requirement may be excluded from attendance at school. Please contact our school nurse (926-3801 x 502326)
