Welcome to our website and thank you for your interest in Cuyahoga Falls High School, home of the Black Tigers. The staff at Cuyahoga Falls is dedicated to the complete development of each student that walks through our doors. We realize that “educational excellence in a changing world” means that we must provide an education that is grounded in 21st Century skills and common core standards with a student-centered approach to ensure that all of our students graduate career and college ready. We believe in the continual pursuit of preparing ourselves professionally to meet the ever-evolving needs of students and the demands of education. In order to reach each student, we are always searching for ways to offer more opportunities for our students. This quest has resulted in the addition of several new options including an increase in A.P. courses and dual enrollment options for the current year. We also believe that student success is directly related to student involvement in activities and programs. Therefore, we offer an extensive list of extra and co-curricular activities for students to develop socially as part of a team, club, or group and active member of the Black Tiger family.
The Cuyahoga Falls community is integral in our success and we actively seek partnerships with businesses and members to enrich the real-world experiences for our students. We are thankful for the current relationship we have with our Parent Teacher Association, Athletic Boosters, Music Boosters, CF Alumni Foundations, and all the organizations that work tirelessly to assist us in our constant efforts in providing a quality, well-rounded educational experience for our students.
We believe that communication is critical in our relationship with our students, parents/guardians, and community members. With this in mind, we encourage the active utilization and monitoring of student progress through the use of Progress Book. We also value the importance of keeping everyone informed through a variety of means including our website, periodic newsletters, phone calls, and emails. We are committed to two –way communication and encourage you to contact the school directly if you ever have any questions, concerns, or are looking for a way to become more actively involved.
At Cuyahoga Falls High School, we believe in data-driven decisions and utilize the variety of information we have gathered to direct structural and instructional enhancements. It is the intent of our building leadership team to analyze our data in order to provide a focus for the upcoming school year. These goals will be posted on our website mid-September and data will be provided quarterly so that everyone can see our progress throughout the year.
The Administrative team at CFHS works with an amazing staff. They have been working extremely hard over the past year to create a unique delivery model for all of our students. This coming year we are excited to launch our version of interest-based small learning communities with the incoming freshmen class. The creation of four “dens” has been the result of this work; namely Arts, Media, and Design; Engineering and Entrepreneurship; Health and Wellness; and Human and Public Service. We will continue to provide a quality educational program to our 10th-12th grade students who will definitely benefit from the work and study that our teaching staff has done in developing authentic and meaningful experiences. Listed below is the breakdown of our administrative team and our specific responsibilities for the 14-15 school year. Never hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.
